Surrogate mother

(Who is surrogate mother?)

Commercial surrogate mother has nothing to do with child’s genetics. She only helps infertile couples in conceiving the child and receives solid compensation beyond the reimbursement of medical and other reasonable expenses.

In following countries surrogacy arrangements are prohibited: Germany, France, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Italy and Switzerland. Commercial surrogacy is voided in Israel, Canada, Great Britain, Greece and Australia. Because of lack of altruistic surrogacy mothers, surrogacy arrangements in those countries are almost impossible. Commercial surrogacy is legal in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Surrogacy as one of the forms of family planning is lawful and allowed by Georgian legislation (Health Prevention Law, 1997 year).

Prices on surrogacy procedures in Georgia are cheap. That’s why many foreign couples travel to our country for the procedures.
